This top floor flat that had not been touched in decades is situated in a very prestigious and traditional building . It presented us with challenges to open up the space in order to create a home suited to modern day living. Working with some structural obstructions that could not be shifted we still managed to connect the living and dining spaces visually so that both areas work for entertaining and also share wonderful views with plenty of light.
Functionality of the limited space was key and so every inch was designed with a purpose to include bespoke joinery for every household item . Although two good bedroom suites were created taking into account services and restrictions of the building, a third occasional bedroom was achieved with a fold down bed in the living area that can be closed off with pocket doors.
